The rising price of gas puts a serious crimp into our budget. My husband has a forty five minute commute on a good day, and easily burns through two or three tanks of gas a week. It adds up quickly, even more so when the price of gas is hovering around $4.oo a gallon. It means that we have had to get economical in several different ways, in order to stay on budget and focused.
The other aspect of rising gas prices is that it it drives up the cost of many other things we need or use, including the price of groceries. When these prices go up, you have little choice but to cut back in other ways, because food and the ability to get around are essential. It is important that you carefully look at your budget and adjust your spending so that you don't end up overspending when your money is being eaten up at the pump.
