The song "I Dreamed a Dream" has been running through my head all morning. I think the new Les Miserables movie may be the reason for it. But the song itself is pretty sad, if you haven't heard it. Its a more experience woman looking back on what she dreamed for her life, and how what she has now is so very different with where she ended up. If you are familiar with the play, she ended up making a variety of choices that put her in the position she is when she sings the song. This does have a parallel to finances, so bear with me.
When you are in your twenties, you likely have a picture of how you want your life to end up--career wise, family wise (family or no family), and an idea of what you can look at and say I have been successful. You aren't going to reach that dream without creating a plan. Take the time now to plan out the steps you need to reach your dreams.
