Christmas Countdown

By December 22, 2012

Follow me on:

December is a month where I feel like I can barely catch up with everything that is going on around me. In addition to the holiday hustle and bustle, my daughter has a birthday in December and squeezing in birthday party planning can be very frustrating. That said, I didn't feel nearly as stressed until this week. We thought we were down with holiday shopping until we started wrapping presents and realized we were one short for one child. It meant a frantic search for possible ideas that wer in stock and a few visits to the nightmare shops where traffic does not move.

We ended up ordering the present. We had free two day shipping, and ordered it at the beginning of the week. Then came the waiting came. Will it get here? Did we miss the package? Where is the FedEx man? What does it mean when it says out for delivery and none has dropped off the package by 10:00 p.m. The package did arrive today. It was a few days late, but it came with time to spare, so it worked out. After I completed the holiday grocery shopping today, I plan on steering clear of the stores for at least another week. How's your shopping going?
