As I look over all of the articles I have written, I have so many articles about budgeting. The category is full of ideas on how to take control of your budget, and how to set up a budget, and how to tweak your budget so that it is finally working. There is a reason that i focus so much on budgeting. It is because without a budget or a a basic spending plan, you will not have the extra money to do the other important things on your list.
Budgeting is not an easy process, especially when you first begin. Writing down your budget is the easiest part, but actually sticking to it can prove to be a challenge some months. things will spring up unexpectedly and if you are not prepared, you may find yourself going over your budget. One thing that helps me is to use cash only for my problem categories. This helps me to really count my pennies while I'm shopping at the store, and gives me a clear understanding of when I have reached my spending limits. What strategies do you use to stick to your budget?
