My big resolution was to not eat out at all this year. 19 days in, and I have lapsed, twice. Both this last week. But I look back and I'ms till doing a lot better than I was before that. Seriously, we ate out more than we ate at home, and so a two days, is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. I looked at the events that led up to me not cooking. It was a combination of things, a stressful day of work, the kids having extra projects do, and the fact that I knew everyone would complain if I made what I planned to cook. Taking away from this, I know I need to plan my meals a bit better and start my meal prep in the morning or the night before. The days I was most successful, I did most of the prep the night before, and just had to toss things together at the end.
So how are you doing on your resolutions? Are they sticking? Are you following your new budget? Are you finding the habits that you need to change? Have you identified your problem areas in your budget? Do you have a support system in place to help you make changes?
